Pearl Drops Instant White Ultra Tooth Veneer!

If you have been following my blog for a while you will know that i am addicted to teeth whitening and i will give anything a whirl that's available on the market.

I dream that one day i will have veneers but in reality i know it will never happen and to be honest i don't want to ruin my own teeth.

So when Pearl Drops released a tooth veneer i was really excited and thought wow i am reeeally going to have "Simon Cowell" teeth *tehe*

Boots often have offers on Pearl Drops and when i saw the tooth veneer was on offer for 2 for £7 me and the boy took up on the offer.

Now i must admit my expectations for this product where pretty high...i knew it wasn't going to give me the teeth i dream of but i imagined it making them pretty white.

Well i am 100% totally gutted and disappointed with this product.

What Pearl Drops Say:
Simply brush on to leave a white veneer that dries in seconds. To remove, simply brush off with a toothbrush at the end of the day.

Beauty Advice From Pearl Drops:
For best results, clean and polish your teeth first by brushing with Pearl Drops Replenishing White or any other tooth polish from the Pearl Drops range. For optimal results, apply to each tooth in one even stroke.

The packaging looks pretty much like a lip gloss and is great to pop in your hand bag which is what i initially thought i would do.

It is basically a white liquid which you brush evenally on each tooth claiming to give you a natural looking white veneer.

Well after i brushed it onto one tooth i noticed it drying instantly but drying to a cakey flakey cream "smudge" on my tooth.

For 1 it wasn't even white and 2 after i applied a thin even layer it just left a smudge in the middle of my front tooth.

My boyfriend just looked at me in horror and i quickly ran to brush it off.

Like i said before my expectations were pretty high but i no way thought it would turn out like it did.

I do usually like Pearl Drops products and maybe this product has worked for you, and maybe i was completely rubbish with the application but i really didn't like this and felt really disappointed after!

I would love to know if any of you have tried it and if it has worked for you?

I mean i haven't lost out on a lot of money as i only paid £7 but i used it the once and went back to it today to do my review and i cant even open the packaging as it seems it has all dried up and it impossible to open :(

  1. Thanks Sophie! Glad I read this because I remember seeing this advertised on telly and I thought it might be worth a try, I'll probably give it a miss now! Can you recommend any good teeth whitening products which you have tried? xx

  3. Ohh My dentist told me to avoid Pearl drops at all costs because they 'whiten' your teeth by stripping the enamel off it (thus removing any stain and part of your tooth). Yes they look white temporarily but....!!

I dont think this product is quite the same. It sounds a bit weird from what you say. I'd be careful with some of the whiteneing products though. :) Thanks for the review :) Avoiding this one!! Emma x

The 'film' it leaves feels really funny and it just adds a slight sparkly sheen.

I thought I was using it wrong but turns out its rubbish eh!

  12. I've used this product since 2009 daily, and think it's great. Definitely don't have the whitest teeth in the planet, but with the product on i'm constantly complimented about how white my teeth are, and it's true!

The application problems still happens to me from time to time and it can go on "smudgy" looking or have streaks, it's a case of wiping it off and redoing it (second attempt normally gets it if first doesn't!) and to increase the whiteness you can add more than one layer of the veneer liquid.

Although it may not have worked for you and some others, for me it has been one of the best products i've ever bought and continue using it nearly 3 years later, i'd say to people the most important thing is trial and error and when you get the application right you'll see results - this products essentially just tip ex for your teeth!

  13. I just spotted this product today, whilst shopping in 'Superdrug' and thought "WOW". I always wanted to find a product like this, as whitening toothpastes never do the job and I tried the "Brilliant" whitening kit which was a disappointment! At nearly £8 for this "Pearl Drops Veneer polish" I was a bit apprehensive and 'ummed-and-ahhed' for 20 minutes in the store, before finally biting the bullet and purchasing it. I got home and ran up to brush my teeth (excited at the possible outcome and having pure white teeth) followed the directions and............... RUBBISH!!!!!!!! My teeth are hardly any whiter than before, maybe a tad, and my teeth feel horrid! I wonder if they would refund me? I am gutted as this is not cheap! I wish I could afford real veneers! I am a smoker, but my teeth are not like smokers teeth and I am a big coffee drinker, so I wonder if it doesn't work for that reason. It seems unless you have near to perfect teeth before applying this product, the results will be less than pleasing! Save your money is my advice :/

  15. You should try Stella White strips instead, they are peroxide free, really easy to apply and great result for the price :) I buy them at Groupon.
