Dannii Minogue Inspired Hairstyle For Australia Day :)

Happy Australia Day!!

Us Aussie Angels were set another challenge last week. A hot hunk delivered a message to me via CD asking me to re-create a look of an Aussie Icon for Australia Day.

Having short hair i straight away knew the look i was going to re-create!

Dannii Minogues famous X-Factor hair :)

I thought i would share with you my attempt at the look and just to clear a few things up hehe!

What do you think?

A lot of you have asked if i have had my haircut as this picture is now my twitter picture but i would just like to clear up that i haven't!! I just love the look so wanted it as my twitter picture. I wish i had the guts to cut my hair like this but unfortunately i don't :( I am however going for a haircut tomorrow but nothing as drastic as this just a trim and a few layers!!

So i hope that is now clear for everyone and that you all like this look

The gorgeous Kelly actually won the competition and you can see her look HERE

Congratulations hunny i hope you had a fabby day with the hot hunks hehe X

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks ♥

These are the latest addition to my lipstick collection :)

As much as i love and cherish my M.A.C lipsticks i do love drugstore lipsticks and there are some really gorgeous colours out there.

I have always loved Rimmel lipsticks and i recently picked up three from the new Lasting Finish line.

Left to Right- 006 Pink Blush
004 Indulgence
014 Sweetie

The colour pay off and pigmentation of these lipsticks is amazing. They are also really moisturising on my lips so don't dry them out at all. I love pink lips from pale pink to bright pink so these three are pretty much perfect, a light pink, a rose tone pink and a bright pink.

Pink Blush is pretty matte however Indulgence and Sweetie have a real shine/sparkle/gloss to them which i really love.

Also these lipsticks smell delicious. Just like love heart sweets if you know what they are lol hmmmm they smell good enough to eat to be honest. If you don't like your lipsticks to have any scent then do be careful with these as the scent is quite overpowering but i love it!!

There is 20 shades in the the Lasting Finish line so there should be a colour for everyone.

I'm looking forward to trying some nudes from this line.

For only £4.99 these are amazing drugstore lipsticks.

They can be found at any Superdrug, Boots or Tescos.

Juicy Couture ♥ Couture Couture Solid Perfume Ring ♥

When this was delivered by my postman this morning i was literally the most excitable girl in town lol!

Juicy Couture 'Couture Couture' Solid Perfume Ring.

We all know i am a huge perfume junkie, however a perfume ring is totally new to me but very exciting.

The packaging is small and dainty but very very cute. I obviously love the fact it is the most gorgeous pink :)

What Juicy Say...

The Valentines gift for Juicy girls on the go! Slip this adjustable solid perfume ring around your finger for at-whim perfume touch ups.

The scent is a succulent blend of Natural Orange Flower, Star Jasmine, Blushed Plum and Vanilla. Slide open the emblem gem and reveal your secret stash of Couture Couture to keep your fragrance close to hand

I actually own some of the perfumes from the Juicy Couture line and love them all so this is actually perfect for me as the perfume bottles are 50ml so quick big and heavy to carry in your bag on a night out so to be able to have your favourite perfume at such easy access and to be showcasing a gorgeous cocktail ring and the same time is any beauty fanatic girls bonus :)

You swivel the ring round to reveal the solid perfume and the ring is also adjustable so will be a perfect fit for anyone. The ring itself is so gorgeous and bling. It is really big and heavy but at the same time really comfy.

If you are struggling to think of a Valentines Day pressie on a budget then this is for you retailing at only £35 it is the perfect gift for any fragrance junkie.

This stunner will be available nationwide from 1st February in Boots, Debenhams, Harrods, House Of Fraser, John Lewis, Selfridge, The Perfume Shop and The Fragrance Shop.

Are you going to be picking up this Juicy Couture Couture Couture Bling?

NOTD M.A.C Soiree Cham Pale Collection

The new M.A.C Collection Cham Pale finally came in at work after weeks of waiting. I took the opportunity to grab something i didn't get from the collection as it was sold out everywhere i went.

M.A.C Soiree Nail Lacquer.

Such a gorgeous pink/gold shimmer. It looks more gold in the pictures but in real life you can really see the pink colour pay off. Its such an amazing colour and was a dream to apply. I only needed one coat and it wasn't sticky or streaky at all.

NOTD OPI Significant Other Colour + Gel Nail Experience

Yesterday was a happy happy day for me..i finally got my gel overlay taken off my nails.

I have naturally very strong and healthy nails however a couple of months ago i decided to get a gel overlay put on them so my nail varnish would last longer and have an over all nicer look to my nails.

In the end i really did hatehe gel overlay, whenever i wanted a nail colour change and took off the nail polish with accentone free nail varnish the nail itself become very sticky and almost like the gel hadmelted making it very difficult to apply another colour. Most of the colours i was wearing would almost stick to the nail so were pretty impossible to remove. All in all it became a hot mess and i hated it.

Also it made it extremely difficult for me to do quick swatches for my blog.

So i gave up and got it taken off...one very happy Sophie :) I have normal nails again. It hasn't damaged my nails in anyway and they are still just as strong!!

I am not saying gel nails are something you shouldn't get just from my experience and what i wanted out of them i just wasn't getting :)

A lesson learnt for me though X

Lucky for me a few days previous i had purchased some OPI and China Glaze nail varnishes from Lydia's Blog which arrived the day i got the gel taken off so i couldn't wait to try them out.

I chose OPI Significant Colour

I am aware this is from a collection a few years ago so i am pretty late with it however i really don't own many OPI nail polishes so have never kept up with latest collections but it is something i am now interested in doing,so keep an eye out for more swatches and collection post's from me :)

This is a great colour for me to wear to work as it is not too bright but the duochrome makes such a gorgeous effect you feel as though you are wearing a bright colour.

Nails Inc For Diet Coke With Swatches!

So its back the Nails Inc and Diet Coke collaboration!!
If you aren't aware of this amazing deal, Nails Inc team up with Diet Coke and when you buy two bottles of Diet Coke you get a free Nails Inc polish. It is an amazing deal as the Diet Coke bottles only cost £1.18 each so its a total bargain and a great way to try out Nails Inc if you have never used their nail polishes before. It is just exclusive to Boots i believe.

This year there are some really gorgeous colours.
L-R Caramel, Heather Grey, Denim, Plum

All swatches were with just one coat. I really loved the formulation of these nail polishes. My only negative is the bottles just feel and look a bit cheap compared to other Nails Inc polishes. The lids don't seem to fit properly which isn't a major problem it just means they don't look as nice..which to be honest i suppose you have to sacrifice something for only paying £2.36 for each nail polish.

So What Do You Think Of The Collaboration?

Have You Pick Up Any Nails Inc Polishes?

Batiste Brit Dry Shampoo!

What awful weather we are having this morning in the UK! Super rainy and windy so what perfect timing to introduce to you the perfect product to keep in your bag or at your desk at work to tame your after after an awful morning commute to work.

Batiste Brit Dry Shampoo

I'm sure most of you have heard of Batiste Dry Shampoo, if not then i welcome you to the best dry shampoo ever. Dry shampoo is designed to revitalise greasy dull and lifeless hair between washes, instantly leaving hair feeling clean and very voluminous plus the gorgeous smell.

Batistse are always introducing new fragrances or new products to their line of dry shampoo's and the newest one i was recently sent to try is the Batiste Brit. In a very patriotic yet funky union jack style bottle this is claimed to smell quintessentially British. Now i am not too sure how Batiste have come up with a British scent as to be honest lets face it how do we know what smells British but in all fairness they have done a pretty good job as i totally love the smell and this is now my favourite scent out of the range and my go to bottle. Its not too over powering but really clean with perhaps a hint of vanilla.

So if you got caught in the rain on your way to work this morning, head out on your break to Superdrug to pick up this beaut for only £2.13 you cant go wrong!

♥ My Make-Up Storage ♥

So yesterday i got some gorgeous floral print storage boxes which i posted about on twitter and i got an unbelievable amount of tweets asking where they were from so i thought i would do a blog post about them in case some of you guys didn't see my tweet about it, and also for my gorgeous followers who may not have seen my twitpics :) I didn't only get questions about the storage boxes i got a lot of questions about my brush holders so i have taken some pictures of those as well so you can see them up close!

This is one end of my dresser/storage area ♥

At the other end of my dresser i have four really ugly but perfect for my make-up storage grey tower draws which are from Asda :) I didn't think i needed to add those into the pictures!

So onto the floral draws...

They were £9.99 on sale from WHsmith

The documents boxes were also in the WHsmith sale for £3.99 each!

They are perfect storage for my palettes.

The brush holders are meant to be storage for a bathroom as they came from a bathroom set from Matalan. I have had them around a year now but last time i checked they still stock this line in the bathroom range. They were £10 each.

So that's it guys..hope you like my storage and i hope i have answered all your questions from Twitter ♥
