My New Favourite Holy Grail Mascara - Bourjois Volume Fast & Perfect Roatating Mascara

I think mascara is one of those products that you will try and try and try until you find 'the one'

I have been doing that for years now and thinking certain mascaras were good but not brilliant...

Until Bourjois released the Rotating Mascara!!

Vibrating Mascara's were the rage last year but Bourjois have certainly stepped it up a notch!

It is battery operated so has an electric rotating brush! This means there is a switch that allows the brush to rotate in one way and then in another direction.

I must admit you have to get the direction 'right' as it won't actually work but its pretty obvious which is the best direction to use. Both directions do of course work..i may have worded that wrong but its just depends on how you prefer to hold your mascara. It quite awkward to explain but i promise that you will work it out and see what i mean if and when you try it.

I will just add quickly that this mascara is suitable for sensitive eyes as it contains Vitamin E and Jojoba Oil.

The idea behind the rotating brush is that it gives you an even amount of product on your lashes helping to comb through evenly not leaving them clumpy.

With having the rotating brush this means you literally have to do no work as it does it all for you.

You literally put the brush at the root of your lashes and hold...that's really will do all the work for you and you end up with lashes like this....

Seriously AMAZING!!!!

My natural lashes have never ever looked like this from a mascara.

I get sooo many compliments on my lashes now and feel so proud as i can say they are all MINE!!

Now i know this mascara has had some mixed reviews and i do know some people who really hate it but for me its now my holy grail mascara and one i will hopefully use all the time from now on.

It gives me incredible lift and volume..everything i want.

I really really can not say anything bad about this mascara i totally love it.

The mascara retails for £11.99 but is currently on offer in boots for £5.99

Have you tried this mascara? Do you like it?

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo & Conditioner ♥ Plus Mini Hot Cloth Cleanser Review ♥

I have always had a little soft spot for Liz Earle but purely for the very well known skincare routine which i am sure you all know..the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser! I love the cleanser, tonic and moisturiser so much and i realised i haven't spoken about it much on my blog so stay tuned for a little review at the end.

My love for Liz Earle has ever much grown over the past few weeks and has now turned to me loving the hair care range..Botanical Shine.

I was given this set to try when i recently met Liz Earle at the Flagship Store in London as i suffer with a really sensitive scalp. Liz advised that it would probably change the condition of my scalp and really really help so i was excited to give these a try.

I was given the Shampoo which is for all hair types and the conditioner for Normal hair. The conditioner is also available in Dry and Damaged and Fine to Oily hair types.

Think of the shampoo as a cleanse and polish which is also suited for all skin types.

Like all Liz Earle products they contain natural ingredients.

The shampoo contains natural vitamin e, aloe vera, west African Shea butter, apple and orange extracts.
The conditioner contains meadowfoam oil, blue seakale, Kenyan yangu oil, apple and orange extracts.

The great thing about the shampoo is it is SLS/SLES Free so contains no sodium lauryl. This does tend to mean that the shampoo would struggle to lather up, however Liz took 15 years to get it spot on and create a SLS free shampoo that was able to lather. All you do it work it into your hands before you apply it to your hair so you have already created a lather and voila..perfect!

Both the products are ultra creamy and smell amazing...just like oranges. Such a fresh fruit scent to really wake you up in the morning.

The Shampoo is slightly more jelly like to the normal shampoo and the conditioner is really thick but not perfect as a mask as well..its the perfect consistency to leave in your hair for 2-3 mins to really give a good condition.

I absolutely love both these products..well i think my hair loves them more :) Don't think it has ever been so happy.

I wash my hair every other day and wash it twice then condition once..i am nearly out of the shampoo but i would say it lasts at least a month. Conditioners always last me a lot longer.

The packaging is great in easy squeeze tubes of 200ml and i love having them siting in my shower.

They leave my hair so super soft and shiny and has really helped/healed my scalp. I now don't need to worry about my scalp being slightly dry.

Natural shampoo's can often leave your hair tangled and slightly dry. This doesn't at all and i have been so impressed..once i have washed out the shampoo i can instantly feel how soft it makes my hair.

I love the conditioner loooooads and i think next i want to try the one for dry and damaged hair as that generally is my hair type. Don't get me wrong i love the one for normal hair but i think seeing as there are different ones i would like to give a different one a try to see which i prefer :) I am a beauty blogger after all ;)

Overall i think 15 years in the making has made this a very unique amazing shampoo and conditioner set which I'm sure a lot of you will adore.

It is priced at £7.65 for each product which may seem a lot but for a SLS free brilliant product its worth every penny and come on it is Liz Earle after all!!

This was a PR sample however i will 100% be re-purchasing for a long time!

Have you tried and loved the Botanical Shine Range?

Like i said earlier i would quickly share with you the Liz Earle skincare routine which i use and adore.

I don't want to bore you with a huuuge review as near enough all of you will know all you need to about the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser as it is pretty popular in the blogging world and in the world in general.

It is basically a thick cream cleanser which you massage onto dry skin, over your eyes, face and neck then rinse off with the muslin cloth which you have had running under hot water. It removes all and i mean all traces of make-up and gently exfoliates at the same time meaning you can totally skin this step in your skincare routine.

It has changed my skincare immensely and has made my skin so clear and as perfect as it can be. I still suffer with the odd blemish but who doesn't? In general this is something i feel i will literally use forever. I have dry skin so as you are gently exfoliating with the muslin cloth it is perfect for my dry skin.

The Skin Tonic smells just like baby powder and really adds a radiance to my skin. Its fresh and really wakes my skin up soothing it at the same time.

The Skin Repair Moisturiser i have is for normal/combination skin types again i love this but would like to give the dry/sensitive moisturiser a try as again i would like to see how they compare and see what my skin prefers.
Like this Skin Tonic it smells like baby powder and intensely moisturises, smooths and protects.

All products mentioned in this post can be found HERE

Do you love the Hot Cloth Cleanser? Do you use this skincare routine?

Sleek Make-Up Nude Collection!

I have been pretty damn excited for this collection to be released as i am sure a lot of you guys were.

I gave you a sneak peak a few weeks back as i was lucky enough to preview the collection at a Superdrug event.

I have had a tough couple of weeks and it is going to stay that way for a little longer as i have an operation on my knee on Saturday :( Sad times but at least my knee will be fixed and i can get back to a normal life. I have some other news that i think i will share with you in a different post.

Anyway i am rambling but what i wanted to say was Sleek Make-Up super cheered me up when this dropped through my letter box on Saturday was just what i needed when i had had an awful night but i will explain that all soon.

God, i never normally ramble in my post's so just get on with it Sophie lol

Sleek Make-Up are set to release the Nude collection on the 31st of August and i have been lucky enough to get my hands on it now to share with you all.

The collection is really beautiful and is fab for all us nude lovers.

Au Naturel i-Divine Palette.

From the first look i fell in love with this palette, was slightly disappointed as the palette contains a lot more matte shades than shimmer and i am a shimmer girl however i have been using the shade 'Taupe' and 'Moss' everyday since i got it they are stunning shades. Perfect for an everyday nude smokey eye.

Taupe in the shade on the top row on the end and Moss in 2 shade on the bottom row.

Left to Right
Nougat, Nubuck, Cappuccino, Honeycomb, Toast, Taupe

There is one problem though *shock horror* i never have a problem with Sleek Make-Up products but i do this time :(

All of the lighter shades apart from 'Taupe' are really not pigmented at all!!! You can see from the swatches that they really aren't up to scratch compared to other i-Divine palettes. I really had to work these shades into my arm for them to even show up on my arm.

Crazy when Sleek Make-Up i-Divines are known for their pigmentation. I don't know if its something to do with my palette but please let me know if you feel the same.

However i really really love Taupe the last shade on the top row which could easily be a dupe for M.A.C Tempting and i can say that is the one shade that does have a lot of pigmentation.

Left to Right
Conker, Moss, Bark ,Mineral Earth, Regal, Noir

On another note i can definitely say that the bottom row is totally up to Sleek Make-Up standards and is sooooo pigmented and the colours are amazing.

The matte black is seriously such a dark pigmented matte black which is great for drugstore. I am just so seriously disappointed with lighter shades..this could have been the most perfect affordable palette at only £6.49 but those shades really let it down.

Suede Blush RRP £4.29

Onto the blush..personally is slightly dark for my skin tone as a blush but it has been the most perfect contour bronze colour.

It is totally matte and this is 100% really pigmented.

This is now my go to contour colour for my cheeks.

Bare Minimum Pout Polish RRP £4.29

I love and own near enough all the Sleek Make-Up Pout Polishes..they are so moisturising and i love the scent.

This one has a gorgeous nude gold sheen and is perfect for everyday. You can wear it alone or over your chosen lipstick.

Overall i do love this collection as i now have 2 perfect eyeshadows for an everyday look and i love the blusher for contouring i just think i am totally shocked that an i-Divine palette isn't as perfect as they normally are.

This collection is Permanent and will be available from the 31st of August on the Sleek Make-Up Website

What do you think? Do you think you will love this collection or be a little disappointed?

Superdrug Lashes ♥

Superdrug recently launched their own range of eyelashes.

There are 8 in the range and include volume, intense volume and natural.

They range from £4.49 to £5.49
The slightly more expensive eyelashes are the Intense volume which are much thicker lashes as they have double layers so basically 2 eyelashes in 1.

I was given Natural Edition 12 at the recent Superdrug event and i went out on Friday for a meal with my family and decided to give them a try!

I have always loved fake eyelashes and used to wear them a lot. I don't know why but there came a stage were i didn't bother anymore, i guess it was to do with the fact i was happy with my current mascara as it gave me a lot of volume and applying eyelashes can be a bit of a pain.

After watching endless videos from Tanya Burr..I'm sure you all know who she is i kept practising her technique of applying fake eyelashes and eventually found it so quick and easy.

I wanted very natural make-up for the evening but fancied added something 'else' to my look and i think these eyelashes worked amazingly.

I'm sorry for the iPhone photos but i quickly snapped these in the car on the way as i forgot to take some pictures with my camera before we left.

As you can see they look so natural but give such a gorgeous look.

They gave so much volume without looking too much..they were perfect for what i wanted.

They were really easy to apply and the eyelashes felt really amazing quality so much so i think i will be able to use them again. I tend to not re use eyelashes but these stayed in perfect condition so i definitely will.

I must admit i didn't use the eyelash glue given as i always use my own glue which is the duo lash but they stayed in place all night.

They felt really natural and comfortable on the eyes i could totally forget that i was wearing them.

I am so totally impressed with these and can't wait to try more. I especially can't wait to try some intense volume lashes.

I now have my love for fake eyelashes back!!

What do you think? Have you tried the Superdrug Lashes yet?

Save Your Skin, Don't Get Burnt, Wear SPF!!

I know it seems pretty strange talking about this today seeing as the weather was rubbish today but i wanted to warn you.

On Sunday we had gorgeous weather in the Uk well at least London did anyway.

It was my boyfriends day off and seeing as i am still stuck at home with a knee injury it was the perfect day to head out to do a few things which i needed to do. I'm still on crutches so the help of my bf was very much needed and great :)

We were literally in and out of a few shops..

I returned home and came across this...

I literally just stood in shock staring at it!! How awful and bad is that?

Its even more awful that i didn't realise and that i just assumed i didn't need and SPF as i wasn't staying out in the sun for particularly long.

I caught the sun good and proper and it wasn't in a good way LOL!!

I have never been in so much pain ever, i couldn't move my back. It was awful to sleep and any clothes i wore rubbed it and made it worse.

So came the call out on Twitter.

You were all lovely and i just want to say thank-you to you all for your suggestions..I'm sorry if i didn't reply to you all there was just so many to get through!

I had no idea what to put on the burn as i didn't have any after sun so all your suggestions came flooding through.

A lot of you said Aloe Vera Gel, Natural Yogurt and Sudocrem.

Here is what i initially used as i had these at home

I swear by Sudocrem for eczema which i sometimes get on my face around my hairline. So i always have a tube of this at home so i popped it in the fridge to cool it then applied it to the burn. I know this little tube has been doing the rounds in the blogging world but i actually did a post on this over a year ago LINK and have repurchased since then so this is NOT a PR sample, i know reviews of this has been bugging a few people on twitter recently :)

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

The most amazing multi purpose product!! This helped amazingly as it really cooled the burn down and moisturised it at the same time.

La Roche - Posay Thermal Spring Water

Ahhhhh this was amazing!! I love water mists in the summer and so does my boyfriend. This was just a great way to cool the burn and also cool myself down. As i was so burnt but whole body was hot so this was amazing.

I then managed to make an order to get some products for the next day.

When i woke up the following morning it was still burning hot but the products i had been using did help but i knew some Aloe Vera gel would do wonders.

I was so happy when i got my hands on the Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel and Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Creme which has mango extract in...sooooo gorgeous.

I have been slathering these on religiously to calm the burn down and to keep it hydrated and moisturised. Its been a few days now so i am happy to say its now turned into a nice bronzed colour but with some horrific tan lines hahaha.

Lesson VERY much learnt i tell ya.

From my experience and my mistakes i just wanted to say please please please wear an SPF at all times throughout the summer. Even if the sun isn't too strong, even if your only going can still catch the sun and you don't want to end up like i did :-/

It wasn't nice!

MeMeMe Gold Shimmer Stack ♥

We all love a good cheaper dupe and these new MeMeMe Shimmer Stacks are gorgeous and one to keep an eye out for.

They very much resemble the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks but at a much more affordable price.

MeMeMe are stepping up their game recently and are launching some fab new products so i can't wait for them all to be released.

The Shimmer Stacks are one of them and i have the Shimmer Stack in Gold to share with you today!

I love the packaging but i have to admit it was a bit of a nightmare to take off the cardboard surround but i got there in the end.

I love that the packaging is super big and chunky. Some people may not like this but i personally do. Also its fab as it has a HUGE mirror..always a plus :)

The product itself is really versatile.

It can be used as an eyeshadow palette, so use each individual desired colour on the lids or sweep a big brush over all of the product for a stunning highlight.

Here you can see each colour swatched...perfect for a nude eyeshadow look.

I have sweeped a big brush into the product here then applied it to my hand for swatch purposes.

I totally love this for a highlighter.

It's a gorgeous gold shimmer/sheen

This could also be used as a blusher but i personally love to use it as a highlight.

There is also 2 other shades available...Pink Fizz and Bronze.

I cant wait to try Pink Fizz for a gorgeous blusher.

They retail for around £8.49 but don't quote me as i can't find it anywhere online and i can't for the life of me remember how much i paid.

I think they are a little pricey for a drugstore product but you get a lot of product in gorgeous packaging so i don't mind :) Lets face it drugstore products in general are getting more and more expensive

MeMeMe is available in Superdrug stores however i unfortunately can't find these on the MeMeMe website so keep an eye out for this in store.

Have you tired the Shimmer Stacks yet? Do you love them or MeMeMe?

The Day I met Liz Earle & First Look At The New Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint SPF15!

I was recently lucky enough to meet Liz Earle at the Flagship Store in Sloane Square.

She talked myself and Sabrina through the exciting new product and exciting venture into colour. The new product itself is the Sheer Skin Tint with SPF15.

Liz also revealed that later on in the year the venture into colour will become much greater so there will be lots more exciting products on the horizon!

For now the first product to be released in the Sheer Skin Tint and it's an exciting one i tell you.

It's a light foundation that claims to even skin tone and give you a natural glow..something we all want. It is also perfect for those with sensitive skin.

It has a mineral UV protection SPF15 and is also enriched with carefully selected blend of botanicals..natural source vitamin E, avocado and borage.

It is designed to wear all year round but if you are like me and like a bit more coverage throughout the colder months and you are thinking this may be something you would just wear in the summer then keep on reading for my full will be very surprised and pleased!!

There will be three shades available...Bare 01, Beige 02 and Beach 03 and will retail at £21. Liz did also mention that one tube should last around 3 months.

So what do i think??

I was very kindly given 2 shades to road test..shade Bare 01 and Beige 02.

First of all i love the packaging...Simple yet Chic

The squeezy tube is so easy and convenient and at 40ml is easy to travel with.

The bottle itself has a shimmering pearl finish and is a unique 'marine' colour which Liz said reflects the way the warm summer sunshine gently filters down through the glistening, inky depths of The Solent.

It also showcases the new logo design for the evolution into Liz Earle Colour.

Left 01 Bare Right 02 Beige

Left 01 Bare blended and Right 02 Beige Blended

The picture above shows 02 Beige much more blended in. I chose to show you this shade a lot more blended in as 01 is very pale for myself but i use it as a concealer under my eyes and 02 all over my face. It is the perfect match.

When i first applied the Sheer Skin Tint to my face it was instant  Love!!

I am a fan of heavy full coverage foundations to hide everything possible lol bad i know but its what i like.

Well the Sheer Skin Tint gave me amazing medium coverage but with the most amazing glow

So amazing i tell you. I did promise earlier that you would want to wear this all year round and you really will i know i will.

It stays in place all day and i still can't get over the fact it's so lightweight but gave me perfect coverage at the same time!

The glow and radiant dewy finish well...blew me away i am really not exaggerating here i was so so happy not to have to powder my face..such a natural dewy finish.

Please bare in mind that i do have dry skin, the Sheer Skin Tint is for all skin types but this is my review based on dry skin i really can't give a review for oily skin.

Just remember though the famous Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is also for all skin types so don't just pass this by as i say it has a gorgeous dewy finish you will really need to try it for yourself.

Talking of trying it for yourself..if your not sure on what colour you will be or whether you are happy this will work with your skin type Liz Earle are offering a  Fist Time, Right Shade This basically means you can order the Sheer Skin Tint by mail and you will be given samples of all three shades with each first purchase. This is to ensure you are happy with your shade..if you select your shade and its not the full size one you purchased you can return that shade unused and get the shade which is perfect for you. Brilliant idea hey?!

I'm not over board about the scent of the product i must admit and it is quite strong.

The product itself doesn't feel greasy it's really creamy and blended super well on the skin. You could also really build it up if you wanted to wear it of an evening. Its a really versatile product and one i think many of you will love.

I suffer with dark circles under my eyes so Liz recommended that i use shade 01 under my eyes to brighten and cover the darkness. It works wonders and i am so happy.

I i am so impressed with Liz Earle's new venture into colour and i cant wait to see what is released next.

Have you tried the Sheer Skin Tint yet? What do you think?

Just a quick picture of myself, Liz and Sabrina

Edit: Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint will be available from September 15th
