Hugo Boss Nuit Pour Femme Perfume!

THIS WILL BE YOUR NIGHT
Introducing Hugo Boss Nuit Pour Femme Perfume
The perfect compliment to your night from Boss fragrances

Hugo Boss are launching a new fragrance for women this week and they have chosen the beautiful Gwyneth Paltrow to be the ambassador of the fragrance!

Boss Nuit Pour Femme is the sophisticated new fragrance for women from Boss Fragrances. The alluring and feminine scent is inspired by the most iconic symbol of feminine style - the little black dress.
It is also for the modern woman, a woman who can multi task, is confident, successful, flawlessly styled, and sophisticated much like Gwyneth herself.

How stunning does she look in the promo images?? Guess what? If you love Gwyneth's black dress as much as i do it will actually be on sale at Hugo Boss stores which i think is amazing, you can look as gorgeous as Gwyneth topped off with a spritz of the new fragrance!

The fragrance itself has top notes of white peach, heart accords of jasmine, white flowers and violets, and the base notes include warm woods, sandalwood and crystal moss.

It is the perfect night time perfume because its very alluring but very elegant at the same time says Gwyneth herself!

The packaging, like the scent is designed to emulate the classic attributes of the little black dress; sleek, elegant, classic and ultimately feminine. The solid weighty glass and luxurious gold details emphasis the fragrance's sophistication, while the black colour echoes the sultry and mysterious atmosphere of the night.

Like i mentioned earlier the fragrance will be available this week and prices start at £34 for 30ml

Does this fragrance excite you? Do you think Gwyneth looks stunning?

Sleek Make-Up be beautiful Blemish Balm

Sleek Make-Up be beautiful Blemish Balm*

I am excited to be sharing with you today the much awaited new BB Cream on the block...

Sleek Make-Up be beautiful Blemish Balm

Being a huge BB Cream fan myself i was really very excited when this landed on my desk last week, especially as its from one of my all time favourite drugstore/highstreet brands!

I am also very lucky to be getting an early preview of the product as it is not out in stores until the 29th of August but i wanted to get my review out there to all you dolls so you can decide if you are going to be rushing out to your nearest Superdrug store on the morning of the 29th.

So lets start by finding out what is inside this new BB Cream
Enriched with red algae extract which provides anti ageing properties and protein peptides that work to repair the skin, this tube of wonder contains Vitamin C that brightens the complexion leaving your skin with a youthful and luminous finish whilst the Vitamin E protects the skin from early stages of UV light damage and reduces the formation of free radicals that could lead to premature ageing. The jojoba oil provides a moisturising formula that creates a smooth and flawless base, concealing imperfections whilst preventing discolouration and dehydration lines.

Containing SPF15, this multi functional BB Cream not only works hard to nourish and conceal imperfections it also protects the skin from harmful rays.

OK so now that bits out the way lets get onto the packaging and product itself.

Lets start with the packaging...black and sleek (no pun intended) very traditional of Sleek Make-Up packaging and in a very handy squeezy tube which i have to say i love! A generous amount of 50ml of product which is fab and the outer box packaging gives an overall more luxurious feel i think.

Now onto the product itself. First of all i noticed that this BB Cream really is different to any of the UK drugstore/hightstreet BB Creams i have tried in the past as it really is much thicker which really does mimic the original eastern BB Creams! Sleek Make-Up really have tried hard with this one and wanted to make sure it gave enough coverage to be worn alone as a tinted moisturiser...complete props to them as that is exactly what it does, in fact i think it provides a lot more coverage than a tinted moisturiser its much more of a very light coverage foundation which is super moisturising. What is great with this product is that it is very buildable, you can apply the BB Cream and wait for the cream to settle before applying a second layer. It can also be used as a concealer so what i like to do is apply one layer wait for it to settle then just re apply to the areas that need more attention like the redness on my cheeks or any blemishes!

I have a normal to dry skin type so for me how moisturising this product is is brilliant however for those with an oily skin type i think you may need to be careful. It is a very dewy finish BB Cream and i found even with my dry skin type i did need to powder it and throughout the day it did become a lot more dewy even slightly oily on my skin so again i did need a top up of powder. If you like the dewy finish then it gives a gorgeous glow. It sits much nicer on my skin when the days are not so hot..we have had some lovely weather in London over the past few days and it did slide slightly which was a little disappointing!

This BB Cream is also said to be great used as a primer so i thought i would give it a go and i have to say i like it so so so much more as a primer. It didn't slide and it kept my usual foundation in place all day and added a stunning glow to the skin!

What i love most about this BB Cream is the coverage as it is so unlike any other BB Cream out on the highstreet. I love that this is something i can pop on when i am just running errands or popping to the shops as i know it has given me enough coverage and people wont be scared by my bare face which i normally just run out with.
I will say that if you like the idea of a BB Cream being a light coverage and finish then this will most probable not be for you.

There is 4 shades available..Fair Light Medium Dark..i have light and it is perfect for my NW20 skin tone. I will say though there is a massive jump in colour between light and medium and i mean massive so i think people may struggle with that.

Priced at £8.99 i feel is a little steep but you do get 50ml of product which does make up for it i guess!

Overall i am pretty damn impressed Sleek Make-Up but to be honest you guys never seem to fail me anyway.

Like i said the launch date is the 29th of August and it will be available from Superdrug stores and on www.sleekmakeup.com

Are you excited for this? Are you a fan of a good BB Cream?

Bourjois 1 Second Magic Nail Polish Remover

This is one of those cult blogging products that everyone and their mum has been talking about over the past few months, i finally got my hands on it so i thought i would give you the low down!

Now these type of products have been around for years and there are a good few on the market but Bourjois have released their own and everyone has seemed to go crazy for it.

So what exactly is it?

A very fancy nail polish remover pot.

It has a sponge inside the pot which is soaked with nail polish remover so you just dip your finger into the sponge, twist, remove and then the nail polish has been instantly removed.

It really is super quick and so convenient but it does not take only 1 second that's for sure its more like 3 seconds to be honest but that is still pretty quick.

Now the difference with this magic pot to others is that it has a scent, now please don't do what i did and smell the pot because it literally nearly knocked me out lol. It is meant to have a scent of red fruit and vanilla but to me its just more of a sweet like scent just literally like sweets. The scent gets left behind once you have used the product so in the nicest possible way your fingers will smell nice and sweet once you have used it.

The nail polish remover is an acetone free remover and it contains nourishing sweet almond oil which is great for keeping your nails and cuticles in good condition. As it is an oil it does leave a slight residue behind just to warn you.

For £4.99 it is obviously a lot more money than a conventional nail polish remover but i guess you are really paying the few extra pounds for the convenience and ease of the product..it is also great for travelling!

I do really love it and it does work like magic i just don't know if i will keep repurchasing instead of a standard nail polish remover.

What do you think? Are you blown away by the magic pot?

YSL Shocking Mascara ♥

I have been very loyal over the past few months to the Bourjois Rotating Mascara, it worked wonders on my lashes and gave me everything i wanted from a mascara, until recently. I just felt it maybe wasn't working with my lashes as well anymore and maybe my eyelashes got used to it? I don't know if that can really happen but that's what it felt like anyway. So i was on the hunt for a new mascara but one i wanted to instantly love and get the same affect but better so i did a little online research as you do and decided to go with the YSL Shocking Mascara. I know i am majorly behind on this one but at the time this mascara was released i wasn't in the market for a new mascara so kind of just passed it by to be honest.

Anyway i picked it up at work in Duty Free with a cheeky little discount and boy am i glad i did.

First of all the packaging is just beautiful, but would you really expect anything less from YSL and the black writing i think makes it look wicked..i now love having this mascara in my make-up bag.

I will just add that I'm sure a lot of you know but if you don't i am not one for higher end make-up, i do love to get a few bits here and there but i am a true drugstore/highstreet girl at heart and will never sway from that but i did just fancy splashing a little more cash on something slightly more luxurious...i don't often do it i promise!

OK back on track Sophie...this mascara really is impressive.

It thickens, it lengthens, it adds volume, it stays put all day and really does give you the effect of false lashes its incredible.

For some it may be a little 'much' for during the day and you may want to have this as an evening/going out mascara but for huge lash addict over here its spot on for me.

I love the way the bristles on the wand are different lengths meaning it grabs every single lash and i also love that you get a great effect with just one coat but if you really do want to spice up those lashes even more then a second coat just does really top it off!

One thing i must add is that a lot of product does get distributed onto the wand so application really is key with this mascara as you want to be careful that you really are just applying it to your eyelashes not your eyelids or forehead, just kidding it just does have a tendency to get onto my eyelids but its nothing too major. Also this mascara will leave you with slightly crispy eyelashes..for me personally i don't mind as i know it is doing what it is suppose to do but if you don't like that feeling then this may not be for you.

I really really reaaaally do love this mascara and get kinda excited in the mornings when i know i get to apply it..now that really is sad isn't it lol.

Have you tried this mascara? Does YSL float your boat?

MUA Undressed Palette ♥ Dupe Alert!

MUA Undressed Palette*

MUA really do just keep impressing me by releasing amazing products and this is one you most deffinitly do not want to miss!!

If you loved the recent MUA Heaven & Earth Palette then i think you will fall head over heels for this Undressed Palette.

Just think a pretty much exact dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette but for only £4!!!!
This palette really is it.

With a good mix of matte and shimmer shades this palette really does have it all. With the great quality that MUA offer and extremly pigmented shades it really wont disappoint. The eyeshadows are creamy and blend like a dream. I literally cant fault this palette one bit.

It really is such an amazing dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette...even down to the name!

I actaully own the Naked 1 Palette and would be more than happy to take comparison pictures so just let me know if you would like me to or not.

In my opinion you really dont need to fork out on the Naked 1 Palette for £4 you have here with MUA!

Have you tried this palette yet?
Do you think it is a great dupe?

By Terry Baume De Rose

Now that i am finally getting my blog back on track i thought i would put into action an idea i have had for a long time. There was always a reason i called my blog Sophie is Made Up and now that reason has come to life. I was always very good with posting FOTD posts but it just got to a point where i stopped and i didn't enjoy calling the FOTD anymore which means Photo of the Day so when i revamped by blog name and changed over to a domain name i always knew i wanted to choose a name which i could actually use within my blog itself if that make sense.

So now Sophie is Made Up will be the post name for when i want to share a make-up look with you followed by the style or occasion of make-up so for my first post i thought i would go with my everyday work make-up.

I really do deep down wish i could be a professional make-up artist but with no professional training i just know this will never happen so instead i just like to create and practise i guess lots of different make-up looks on myself and they were always just getting wasted as i was never sharing them with anyone but now that has changed and they will be featured on my blog here whenever possible as Sophie is Made Up!

I really do hope you like this idea so your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

The make-up i am wearing above is the make-up i wear pretty much everyday to work a neutral eye, neutral cheeks and neutral lip colour..make-up has to be kept simple at my workplace and this is how i have found i like to keep it natural but still glowy!
I use FASHIONISTA Blush in Butterscotch with a light dusting of Sleek Make-Up Nude Blush in Suede just to intensify the colour slightly!
I use M.A.C Eyeshadow in Brun to fill in my eyebrows everyday without fail its the perfect colour for my dark eyebrows. Also i do love a bit of a scouse brow :P
M.A.C Retrospeck all over the lid with Omega through the crease is my perfect natural eye.

I wanted to start this new series with a pretty natural look but there will definitely be more to come with brighter lips ect ect so keep and eye out!

I really do hope you like this idea and like i said i would love to know what you think so please do let me know.

I hope you like this look dolls!

Rodial Brazilian Tan Dark Review

Rodial Brazilian Tan Dark*

So following on from sharing with you my current favourite bronzer i thought i would share with you my current favourite fake tan. Now seeing as in London we have literally only had a handful of sunny days so a fake tan is always a must for me. I hate being pale i know it sounds stupid but a tan does really make me feel better...i hope I'm not alone on that one!

Now Rodial have recently re packaged and re formulated their Brazilian Tan range and i was lucky enough to try it out. I am pretty new when it comes to Rodial, i know their skincare has a huge following and i definitely think the new Brazilian Tan range will have the same following.

First of all i absolutely love the new packaging...the bright aqua blue tube with the coral and white writing i think is so nice and works so well. I also like the fact it is in a tube rather than a pump bottle as i think a lot of product can get wasted in pump bottles...in the tube you get 150ml of product which isn't loads but a little goes a long way so you don't need too much so the tube will last you a good amount of time.

Within the Brazilian Tan Range there is a Dark, Light and Clear formula the clear being more of a daily tan. Of course the one i use is the Dark formula.

The tan itself is actually a tinted gel which gives you an instant colour which then develops into a stunning colour. What i love most about this tan is that you get an instant colour straight away..I'm not very 'organised' when it comes to tanning and i definitely don't have a routine with it so can sometimes want to tan straight away before going out but obviously i don't want to have to wait 4 hours or so for it to develop so to get an instant stunning colour for me is perfect.
The product blends like a dream and i use a mitt to apply it. You have to work pretty quick though as it does dry quickly but in theory its a really good thing as you don't have to wait around trying to fan yourself :P

When i first saw the product in the tube i was slightly worried at how dark it look but as it is a gel the colour isn't so strong and blends in so so soooo nicely so please don't be afraid of the colour!

This is the only tan that doesn't go patchy on me its amazing!!

Now this tan is also said to last up to 10 days...how crazy is that?!? I know some of you are going to find it hard to believe but it really does last 10 days on me its seriously crazy!! It obviously fades throughout the days but still fades to such a gorgeous colour and doesn't go patchy or streaky at all!! I was so shocked when i realised it had actually lasted the 10 days.

I know the smell of fake tan plays a huuuuge part of deciding which fake tan to go for and i can happily say this one smells of...wait for it...Caramel yep that's right Caramel mmmm its delicious!

I am literally in love with this fake tan and haven't used any others since so i am nearly out of this one which i am really sad about as it does also have quite a hefty price tag £35 ouch!!! That's a lot for a fake tan but i know it is a 'premium' fake tan but i don't know if i can bring myself to spend that much but i also don't think i can live without it ahhhhh what to do!!

One small negative...it is a bit of a nightmare to totally remove i think this is down to the fact it does last such a long time but after the 10 days i like to scrub it all off and start fresh but it does take a lot of scrubbing i have to admit other than that this really does have to be one of my all time favourite fake tans.

A big thumbs up to Rodial for such a stunning tan and gorgeous packaging!

Now when are you going to release an Extra Dark version tehe

Have you tried this fake tan or any from the range?
Do you love it just like me?

Bourjois 'Chocolate Bronzer'

Now i totally missed the hype when this product first came out a while ago now and never really believed that it could really have a chocolate scent, at the time of release i didn't need a new bronzer however when i was in the market for one a few weeks ago i spotted this Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer in gorgeous new bright shiny packaging and i thought i am just going to have to give in and test it out for myself so here i am.

So not only does it look like a bar of chocolate it does indeed smell like chocolate..this is because it is infused with coco/chocolate scent..it really is scrummy! It is heavily scented so if you don't like scented products or if your skin doesn't then i wouldn't really recommend this.

The bronzer itself is a gorgeous finely milled bronzer, not chalky at all and is a dream to apply. It is a creamy powder so blends beautifully on the skin. I have shade 52 and there is shade 51 available. 52 is perfect for my light/medium skin tone. It does have very tiny flecks of gold glitter in the pan but once applied they do not sit on the skin so the bronzer is perfectly matte but with a gorgeous slight glow. It is perfect for contouring or even to give a light glow on the cheeks!

I don't know if the new packaging is limited edition or not but i love it!!

RRP £6.99 however often on offer in Boots for £4.99

Are you a fan of this Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer?
